Lacy Marine Motor Company advertisement, 1917

This collection consists of documents, ephemera and images collected by Rochesterian John R. Stewart. The materials date between 1867 and 2004. These materials include legal documents, advertisements, catalogs, schedules, articles, photographs and ephemera related to Rochester's rich railway history and history of building vehicles and engines. Some materials are related to railroad and vehicle manufacturing outside the Rochester area, with a particular abundance of materials on Dunkirk, New York. A small group of materials related to non-vehicle or engine manufacturing are also present.
