Better Housing Association-Speakers Bureau, 1946

The Better Housing Association, formed in 1945, was the successor to the Citizen's City Planning and Housing Council. The organization advocated for housing improvements and the establishment of a public housing authority. It suspended operations in 1953, and finally disbanded in 1956. Materials in this collection date from 1939 to 1955, with the bulk dating from 1944 to 1948. The records include minutes, member lists, correspondence, newspaper clippings, and membership cards.
