Series I: Incoming Correspondence, 1893-1935, bulk: 1893-1923
Scope and Contents
This series consists of letters sent and received by Dr. Goler, with the exception of boxes 53 and 54. The contents are organized by year, then alphabetically by correspondent name. The inclusion of folders titled "Unfiled" or "Special" in some boxes reflects original order. Boxes 53 and 54 contain materials were found housed with the correspondence series, but actually contain a mixture of notes, reports, subject files and correspondence. They are retained in this location as it is unclear at this time how they fit into the original order of the collection. Boxes 53 and 54 include several typescript documents that appear to be chapters for a planned book on Rochester's public health service by Dr. Goler.
