Correspondence E-G, 1873-1878

The material in this series consist almost entirely of personal papers of Nathaniel Foote (a few professional items were clearly been mixed in). The papers date between 1871 and 1905. The papers were arranged following strict adherence to original order; the materials were placed in folders according to the box in which they were originally found and the boxes in this series are mostly in one to one correspondence with the original boxes. It is for this reason that the materials in this series jump back and forth in time, as that is how they were found in the original order.
