"I'm Coming Back," words and music by John A. Dehn [sheet music], 1919
Content Description
Robert Morrill is a long-time member of the American Legion, initially in the historic and now-defunct Yerkes-Couchman Post. At Yerkes-Couchman, Morrill met Nelson Morrow, a veteran of the First World War. After Morrow's passing, his heirs gave Morrill copies of two historic items from his estate: a detailed typescript memoir of his service in the 108th Infantry Regiment, 27th Division, and a copy of the sheet music for "I'm Coming Home," a song dedicated to Lieutenant Colonel Frederick Couchman, a Rochesterian who also served in the 27th Division. Both items are Xerographic copies; the typescript memoir appears to be a copy of a mimeograph or other earlier copy, not of the original typescript.
