Administrative History
Lum Real Estate Company was founded in 1905 my Milton S. Lum. The Lum Real Estate Company conducted general real estate brokerage and appraisals for commercial, residential, industrial, farm, and service properties in the city of Rochester, Monroe County, and surrounding counties; Ontario, Wayne, Seneca, Cayuga, Livingston, Genesee, Orleans, Niagara, Erie, and Chemung.
They conducted real estate appraisals for the City of Rochester, County of Monroe, Towns of Greece and Pittsford, Trust departments at local banks; Lincoln Rochester Trust, Security Trust, Central Trust and union Trust, various oil companies; Esso Standard, Tidewater Oil, Colonial Beacon, Sinclair, Sterling Oil Company, Kittelberger Estate, and numerous attorneys, estates, and business firms including New York Central Railroad. They were also used as expert witnesses in court cases.
