Biographical / Historical
Albert M. Murray was born in Canandaigua N.Y. in July 1840 to Albert Guthrie Murray and Emily Morse Murray. Albert joined the West Point Military Academy in 1858 and graduated in 1862. He served in the 5th Regular Army Light Artillery Regiment and the 2nd Regular Army Light Artillery Regiment. He was unfortunately captured and died in a prison in Georgia in 1864.
