Biographical / Historical

Born June 6, 1947, in Geneva, New York, John Altieri formerly served as Board President of the Gay Alliance of the Genesee Valley. Altieri has been involved in AIDS prevention and community health initiatives since 1984, when he served as the co-chair of the Rochester Area Task Force on AIDS. Altieri participated in the AIDS Rochester board of directors, along with serving as Regional Coordinator for the HIV Counnseling and Testing Program of the New York State Department of Health. As of 2025, he lives in Florida.
