To commemmorate the 50th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1991, the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle newspaper asked readers to submit their personal memories of how the attack affected them when it happened. Letters are arranged by last name.

Administrative History
This is an artificial collection consisting of letters received by the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle newspaper in 1991 in response to an appeal for Rochesterians to share their memories of the Pearl harbor attack at its fiftieth anniversary. Letters published over the course of the week prior to the anniversary, and came from a variety of former servicemen and civilians.
