The Local History Division of the Rochester Public Library is responsible for maintaining collections on and providing public services related to the history of Rochester, New York and the surrounding area. The Local History Division was one of the original divisions of the Rochester Public Library. Originally founded with the assistance of the Rochester Historical Society, it provides a home to primary and secondary sources on the history of Rochester, New York and the surrounding metropolitan area. The documents in this collection include annual reports and budgets from the first three decades of its existence.
