Pin promoting the election of Frank Van Lare for Republican Councilman. According to "rochistory.wordpress," Van Lave successfully ran for City Council in 1939. Attached to the pin is a ceramic or possibly a plastic blue pig figurine. Perhaps this was referring to Van Lare's interest in clean water. He was concerned about agricultural run off, as well as detergents and cleaning products, polluting the water supply. Van Lare was a leader on water pollution prevention, creating regulation in all of his political positions to combat pollution in New York State., undated

Small, off-white pin with the message in dark blue lettering, " October 16, Let's Go, Cornhill Church." According to "Cornhill.org," Cornhill refers to the third ward of Rochester, New York. It is unclear which Cornhill church this pin refers to, and what significance the date, October 16th has. According to "mcnygenealogy.com," in the article titled, "The Third Ward and its Cornhill Historic Preservation District," by 1831, under the leadership of the first regular pastor, The Reverend Thomas James, a church site at the northeast corner of Spring and Favor streets, had been obtained, and a small one-story, wooden structure was completed and occupied as a church edifice (p.32)." Replaced in 1879, and 1907, The African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, became the foremost Black church in Rochester, serving as a spiritual and activist community. Perhaps this pin is connected tot the historic AME Zion church in Cornhill. , undated
