This small collection of papers documents the education and writings of Susan Ernisse Crowe and her daughter Jane Ernisse Crowe Maxfield in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Both women grew up and received schooling in Rochester, NY. Both were proficient at writing and drawing, as reflected in these papers.
