Content Description

This collection consists of photographs and newspaper articles depicting and on the subject of Calvary Presbyterian Church. Demolished in 1972, the church had stood at the corner of South Avenue and Hamilton Street since 1871. The congregation merged with nearby St. Andrew's Presbyterian in 1968, worshipping at St. Andrews' building on Averill Avenue until it, too, dissolved in 2017. Materials in the collection date between 1884 and 2009.
