Biographical / Historical
Community Health Network, Incorporated (CHN), was established in 1989 by Dr. Steven Scheibel and Dr. William "Bill" Valenti as a community-based clinic to care for people living with HIV/AIDS. In 1990, CHN became a Ryan White Grantee, ensuring that patient finances would not never a barrier to receiving care. In 2005, CHN rebranded as AIDS Community Health Center and partnered with Pleasant Street Apothecary to ensure access to prescription drugs for HIV/AIDS patients. In 2010, CHN merged with AIDS Rochester to become AIDS Care, which rebranded as Trillium Health in 2013.
