This series consists of a single folder of photographs collected by Orlando Ortiz of the Rochester Gay Men's Chorus. The series consists of three photgraphs from 1984. Also included is a sheet of notes with limited contextual information for the photographs written by Evelyn Bailey, historian for the Gay Alliance of the Genesee Valley.

Conditions Governing Access

Access to portions of Series VIII: Norris (Bud) Minard papers have been restricted due to Heath Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. The restricted documents are restricted until 50 years after the death of the patient. The records will be released on August 16, 2066.

Biographical / Historical

Orlando Ortiz is an indivisual affiliated with the LGBTQ+ community in Rochester, NY. Additional biographical details are unknown.

The Rochester Gay Men's Chorus was founded in 1982 by David Knoll, Robert "Bob" Olsowski, Kent Peterson, Ken Setera, and Nicholas Williams. The choir expanded to 18 members over the next six months and performed its first concert, titled Rochester Gay Men's Chorus in Concert, at Cavalry Street St. Andrews Church on Saturday, May 7, 1983. Since then, the choir has continued to perform concerts regularly.
