Scope and Contents
This series consists of the papers of James "Jim" Black, affiliated with the LBGTQ community in Rochester, New York. The materials date between 1989 and 1991. The materials consist of newspaper clippings from the Democrat and Chronicle, Times-Union, and Empty Closet concerning the AIDS Memorial Quilt, AIDS patients, funding for HIV/AIDS research, and AIDS activist Anthony Greene. Also included are a statement to the ARI Board of Directors and a typed letter titled Notice to Fight AIDS submitted by James G. Black, Jeffrey A. Kost, Jason M. Pavone, and Tony Greene.
