This collection contains a series of letters, loans, and telegrams relating to the Erie Canal between 1820-1882. These items were collected by Margaret Strong and donated by the Strong Museum of Play. The collection is comprised of various documents pertaining to the Erie Canal; several documents specifically regard Joseph Bird of Watertown, Massachusetts.
