Abstract

This collection consists of seven cabinet card photographs taken in Rochester, New York, circa 1885-1890. The cabinet cards are all anonymous portraits, but 6 of the 7 identify the photographer.

Arrangement

This collection consists of a single folder.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Gift of the Rome Historical Society, 2019. These photographs had previously been transferred to the Rome Historical Society from the University of Kentucky in 2018.

Condition Description

The photographs are in excellent condition. Most are albumen prints displaying normal and expected levels of slight discoloration and fading. The remainder are most likely collodion prints, in extraordinary condition.
