This collection consists of 75 35mm slides. The slides include images of branches of the Rochester Public Library system; architectural design work by James H. Johnson on the Phyllis Wheatley Branch Library, and a set of promotion slides created by the Rochester Chamber of Commerce.

Administrative History

Lisa C. Wemett served as a librarian for 15 years at the Fairport Public Library in Fairport, New York. In donating this slide collection to the Rochester Public Library, she provided the following statement explaining its origins:

This box of slides may have come to me when working at the Fairport Public Library (1978-1993). At the time, I did slide presentations about the library in schools and for community groups. Since quite a few of these slides are "generic" views of library materials, a periodical display, etc., they may have been donated to mefor use in those slide shows.
