Biographical / Historical
The Reynolds Arcade has a long history in Rochester, New York. The original building was erected by Abelard Reynolds in 1828. A four-story brick structure, it was home to numerous early Rochester businesses. This rent book documents the last decade and a half of the original arcade. Condemned as a fire hazard in 1932, the building was demolished and replaced by the ten-story art deco building that survives today.
