Abstract
This is a collection of photographic albums and other materials primarily regarding the construction of the Rochester subway system, under the direction of Mayor Clarence D. Van Zandt. A few items are related to Van Zandt's personal and political life. The materials date between 1909 and 1925.

Scope and Contents
Materials include 29 black and white photographs in various sizes encapsulated mylar. Also included are 2 framed black and white portraits, one metal frame and one wooden frame. Subject of the photos are mostly concerned with the Rochester Rapid Transit Subway and its builders, but there are also a few portraits of unknown women.
