This collection contains mainly photographic prints documenting locations throughout Rochester for the company's Office of Public Relations. Two large projects in this series were the Trolley Pole Modernization and the Mid-Town Development project, both of which are photographically documented. Also included in the collection are pamphlets, newspaper clippings, and several small books.

The collection was given to the Office of the City Historian by Rochester Gas and Electric's (RG&E) Tom Schwartz, and was donated to them by Linda Zahn in 1998, the daughter of Linn Bowmen, who before his retirement serves as the general superintendent of RG&E's gas division and had served as Vice President to the company.
