Mortgages, Deeds, and Estate Inventories, 1834 - 1849
Scope and Contents
This collection documents the activities of Daniel P. Allen, the brother-in-law of Joseph Harris of the Harris Seed Company. The materials include personal letters, business correspondence, receipts, and payroll vouchers for both his personal accounts and those that he maintained for the United States Army. The collection also includes a 1911 book titled "Sketch of the Life of John C. Jameson" which includes an extended family history.
The materials are dated between 1800 and 1865, with a bulk of the materials dated between 1844 and 1865.
