Carson family papers
This collection consists of various documents from the Carson family including: Birth Certificate of Dorothy Carson, a Mortgage certificate, Deeds, and a gift from Adella Lampert Carson and Delight Carson. The contents dating from between 1851 to 1890.
Individual Letters Collection
Consists of an artificial collection of individual letters purchased or potentially donated to the Library. These letters were found in the library stacks. Some letters contain proof of purchase and some do not.

This collection consists of the records created during daily activities of past Rochester City Historians, Joseph Barnes, Edward Foreman, Blake McKelvey, and Ruth Rosenberg-Naparsteck. The materials date between 1818 and 2007. The records consist of correspondence, special projects, publications, events, and subject research files.
Rochester Family Papers
The Rochester Family Papers span the years 1788 to 1881 and include deeds, correspondence, receipts, and bills belonging to members of the Rochester family. Of special note is a piece of Sophia Rochester's wedding dinner dress underskirt. The collection also includes Col. Nathaniel Rochester's 1831 handwritten will, an inventory of his estate, and deeds and indentures regarding his many land dealings. A copy of Rochester's 1830 will is also included.
Series VIII: Rochester History, 1935-2011
This series consists of the papers from the publication, Rochester History. The materials date between 1935 and 2011. The papers consist of correspondence, articles, invoices, bids, grant applications, and circulation lists.
Sub-series H: Research notes, 1937-1970
This series is comprised of Rochester City Historian Blake McKelvey's research notes used to write his four volume history of Rochester, New York. The materials were assembled between 1937 and 1970. The series includes handwritten transcriptions of newspaper articles and journals; newspaper clippings, source and illustration citations, pamphlets, and notes.
Young Men's Christian Association (Y.M.C.A.) of Rochester (N.Y.) collection
This collection consists of the papers that document the history of the of the Rochester Young Men's Christian Association (Y.M.C.A.). The materials date between 1854 and 1981. The papers are comprised of photographs, brochures, reports, periodicals, correspondence, scrapbooks, and newspaper clippings.
