Nurseries (Horticulture)

This collection consists of the records of Rochester, New York based merchant, entrepreneur and contractor Albert G. Smith. The materials date between 1805 and 1916, with the bulk dating from 1839 to 1842. The records include letters, bills, receipts, contracts, mortgages, deeds, bonds, legal briefs and filings, title and judgement searches, cancelled checks and other documents.

This collection consists of four albums compiled by by Dellon Marcus Dewey, a prolific early Rochester writer and bookseller. The albums are collections of plates or descriptive materials related to Rochester's nursery industry. Only one book is dated (1872), but all presumably come from this time period.

This collection consists of records from Rochester nursery owner George Ellwanger and his son, George H. Ellwanger. The materials date between 1840 and 1901, and consist of letters, calling cards, trade cards and an etching.
