Families--United States History--20th century

This collection consists of 68 photographs of members of the extended Bentley family of Rochester, New York, descendants of Sardius DeLancey Bentley and Martha Burr Cogswell Bentley. The photographs also include images of family friends and business associates.

This collection consists of photographs, postcards, a Y.M.C.A. pamphlet and a charcoal portrait from the Bonazza family of Rochester, New York. The materials date between 1914 and 1937.

This collection consists of a series of letters written between Elston Holton who was a traveling salesman and his wife and daughter Gladys and Jane Holton between 1934-1938. Elston worked for the Webaco oil company selling dried apples across the United States.

15 photographs from Frank Hurlburt and family. Hurlburt was a captain in the New York Central Railroad police ca. 1920s-1930s; most photographs depict the railroad in some manner. Three of the photographs depict an “Old Timers’ Dinner” of Rochester Folding Box Company in 1954; Ronald Sweet’s mother and stepfather were employed by this company.

This collection includes correspondence to and from Mattie Burns, a Rochester New York based nurse. The materials date between 1938 to 1963. The materials consist of letters and cards.

Twenty-three boxes of genealogical records generated by the Winans family of Rochester. The records include genealogical record sheets, notes, newspaper clippings, journals, postcards, correspondence and other materials collected by Ira Winans and his descendants.
